c2cedge ("we", "us") operates the website at c2cedge.com and the evaluation platform at eval.c2cedge.com. For data-protection questions, contact privacy@c2cedge.com.
2. What we collect
- Account data — when you log in via eval.c2cedge.com (as a Student or Placement Officer): your name, email, institution and role.
- Learning data — your roadmap progress, mock-test scores and reading progress. Roadmap and reading progress are stored locally in your browser unless you sign in.
- Usage data — basic, privacy-respecting analytics (pages visited, device type) to improve the product. No third-party advertising trackers.
- Local storage — small items in your browser (e.g. saved progress, your cookie choice). These never leave your device unless you sign in.
3. Why we use it
- To provide and personalise your roadmap, reading and practice.
- To save and sync your progress across devices when you log in.
- To operate placement evaluations for institutions that use eval.c2cedge.com.
- To keep the service secure and to improve it.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
We process data on the basis of your consent (analytics, optional cookies), contract (delivering the service you signed up for), and our legitimate interests (security, product improvement).
5. Cookies & local storage
We use essential local storage to remember your settings and progress, and analytics cookies only if you accept them in the consent banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage or contacting us.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with: (a) service providers who host and operate the platform under contract; and (b) your institution, where you participate in its placement drives via eval.c2cedge.com.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict processing. Email privacy@c2cedge.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
8. Data retention & security
We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law, then delete it. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access is restricted.
9. Children
c2cedge is intended for users aged 16 and above (or with institutional/parental consent). We do not knowingly collect data from younger children.
10. Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
